Honestly, I didn't expect much for the price, but this thing kept me dry through three days of wet snow in Whistler. The snow skirt actually stays in place (surprisingly), and I love that the jacket is long enough to cover my butt on the chairlift. The only strange thing is the arm pocketsβ€”it took me a day to figure out where to put my lift pass, haha. Would buy again.

I purchased this at the last minute before a trip to Gaastad. The warmth is excellent without feeling bulky – I was comfortable in -10Β°C wearing only base layers. The hood fits over my helmet, which is invaluable. I deducted one star because the zippers are a bit stiff with gloves on, but they softened up after a few days. Much better than my old Burton gear that cost three times as much.

Finally, a women's model that doesn't assume we're matchsticks! The jacket is actually long enough and the pants are high-waisted, so there's no gap. Kept me completely dry in slush/rain, which is pretty much all we get in val d'isere these days. The cuffs with thumb holes are perfect. My only wishβ€”I got black, and you can see every lift grease stain. Choose a lighter color if you care about that kind of thing.

Day 4 with this and I'm sold. Ran into some trees in fresh snow and took a couple of nasty falls – no tears, no wet spots. The ventilation zippers under the arms are a game changer when hiking. My friend wondered where I bought it because his $600 Arc'teryx jacket was soaked through on day 2. Sometimes cheap wins πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
